Andrew Nkoyoyo:

Thank you, dear friend. Welcome back to Kingdom. Come with me again, andrew Nkoye, I'm so glad you're here. We are continuing on this series, sacred and Profane, the urgent call to restore God's holy name. We are in the message number three, and this one I've entitled, renewed by Reverence, the Blessings of Honoring God's Name. Okay, and so far we have talked about the weight of God's name in one and we talked about really how we have tarnished the legacy of God's name in episode two, and we talked about the consequences. Now we want to talk about the blessings. They are blessings. See, it's not all doom and gloom. They are blessings.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

So God says, hey, I care about my name, but I'm going to show you in this episode that when we honor God's name, actually we open a door for restoration, for healing, for blessings and for the goodness of God into our lives in ways that we have never, you know, even thought before. Okay, so let's begin with Isaiah, chapter 57, verse 15. For he says thus says the Lord, the high and exalted one, who inhabits eternity, whose name is holy. Did you hear that His name is holy? He wants us to be holy because he's holy, but his name is holy. I dwell in the high and holy place and I also with him, now listen to this with him, who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite. In other words, when we humble ourselves and begin to allow the Holy Spirit to examine our hearts and to let us know and to reveal to us in what ways we have dishonored God's name, profaned God's name, brought disdain or a bad reputation to his name. And when we come and we are willing to repent and turn and ask the Holy Spirit to give us that reverence for the name of God, to carry it with the fear of God that it demands, and the reverence and the awe, dear friend, we unlock the power of the name. See, the name of the Lord is a strong tower to those who actually know the power of God's name. If you don't know the power of God's name, you don't reveal God's name. It's really not going to really do much for you. You see, the worldly people use God's name in vain and many, even some, christians do, and some use it as part of their language and they even curse with it. But I'm telling you, when we sanctify God's name, when we treat it with the reverence and the honor that is due to his name. You know, god says when we are contrite, when we are humble and lowly and we approach his name with the fear and the reverence, the worship, the holiness that he demands, dear friend, we means that we are approaching God the same way, because God's name is God, god's name is his holiness. God and his name they are one, they are not separate. They are one. That's why God says I have concern for my name, you will not use it in vain, you will not swear in my name.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

There are consequences, deadly consequences, as we saw, you know, for the ancient Israel. You know what happened when they were unfaithful to God and his name and he lifted his glory and his presence. The enemies came. There was destruction. Even today, there are consequences. But remember, dear friend, that we are not left alone. We have the Holy Spirit, we have the blood of Jesus. There is the grace of God that calls us to repentance, that when we repent and turn, god is always pursuing us. Even right now, through this message, god is pursuing you. God has been pursuing and speaking to me to the point. I said okay, lord, I get it. And he said you got to share it. So God is calling us to his nature of holiness and righteousness and their blessings. Okay, understanding the nature of God's blessings is more than material things. Okay, when we unlock the power of his name, we are unlocking the power of heaven, the power of God.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

The name of the Lord is a strong tower. Did you hear that? The righteous run into it and they are safe? That's one of my favorite prayer to pray over myself, over my kids, every day. I cover them in the shelter of God's name. I bring this ministry under our partners. I declare God's name over them. You know why? Because I know the power of the name. It is a strong tower. So when we treat God's name with the reverence, the name of God becomes protection to us, becomes the strong tower, becomes our refuge, our defense, our shelter, our shield and backboard.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

The name of the Lord is a strong tower to those who revere the name, to those who treat the name with the weight that it carries. It becomes that tower for you. It becomes that strong tower of protection. You can come under the name of the Lord, oh, hallelujah. Dear friend, how I love the name of the Lord. And we're going to talk about all these different names of God, the operation, when we are done with this series. But I want to emphasize in this message, there are blessings when we know the name. One of them, the name of the Lord, becomes a strong tower to you, becomes a shelter. You can declare the name of the Lord and then what does Lord mean? I mean he's Yahweh, but so Lord is Adonai, right, and so when you break down Yahweh, he begins to show us different facets of himself. For example, he becomes Jehovah Nissi. Right Now. He's because you are tapping into the name and you revere the name.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

Actually, I have one of our intercessors here in the ministry and partner. One time I preached a message on the blood of Jesus and on the names of God and she told me she was coming back and it was a tough day from work and driving for an hour and 15 minutes from, you know, grand Junction it's a town away from where I am and as she was coming back she felt like the enemy was trying to attack her mind and attack her physically and she said, she called out Jehovah Nissi and it's like, it's like all of a sudden, whatever was coming on her just released. That's the power. She knew the power of the name and she believed. And because she believed, that name became a name that releases victory.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

So the Bible, when it says that the name of the Lord is a strong tower, think about a strong tower, a place of refuge, a place of protection impenetrable. That's what the name of the Lord is to us and I pray it will be to you, if it's not already, because when you begin to declare the name over you and receive that name with the reverence, you unleash the power. I've cast out demons of all kinds. I dealt with shapeshifters. You know shapeshifters, those are people who turn into anything. I have prevailed in the power of the blood and the power of the name. Why? Because the name becomes my tower of protection. When I go out there to minister, when I confront darkness, wherever God sends me, I go, I go under the power of the name and I declare the name and I release the power of the name and I bring our team under the power of the name. And you know what? We have never had any casualties in all 30 plus years of ministry. You know why? Because we know the power of the blood and the power of the name. Amen.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

Matthew 6.33 says but you seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all the things will be added to you. Okay, what is the kingdom? Part of the kingdom. You can't have the kingdom without the king, and the king has a name. So when you honor the name of God, you are honoring, you are putting the kingdom of God first, because all that God does is for his name's sake. Please put this in your spirit. For his name's sake, please put this in your spirit. For his name and for his glory, and always, even throughout history, and in the previous episode, we read a scripture that said for my name's sake, though, you have provoked me to anger and even to judgment, but for my name's sake, this is what I'm going to do. I'm going to forgive you, I'm going to restore you, I'm going to bring you back. That's the heart of God for all of us. It's for his name. Okay, for his name's sake. For his name, for his glory. 2 Corinthians 3, verse 18. Corinthians, chapter 3, verse 18.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

As we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another, as we honor God's name, we begin to have transformation from the inside out. Really, when you begin to think and approach the throne of God and approach God with the fear of not offending, of dishonoring, of profaning His name dear friend, this is my prayer. I know God has been working this in my heart. It's like, all of a sudden, you begin to. It's like the Holy Spirit says will this bring glory to God? When you say this, when you respond this way, when you act this way, will this bring glory to God? All of a sudden, the name of God becomes part and parcel of your life and you're having transformation.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

Why? Because you care about the name of God. And guess what? Because you care about God's name, god is gonna care about your name. God is gonna become the strong tower, god is gonna become your protector in a way that you have never known before. Why? Because you care for his name. You know, one time somebody asked me, when somebody said some untruthful things about me and the ministry, and somebody asked me I said aren't you going to defend yourself? I said I don't do that. You know why? Because the name of the Lord is my strong tower. The Lord is my defense. God vindicates you rest in the name of God. And guess what? A few weeks later, god vindicated me. He will do the same for you.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

You come under the protection of the name of God, because you know the power, what the name is to those that revere the name of the Lord. So when we revere the name of the Lord, okay. So when we revere the name of the Lord, we begin to have this inner transformation. Okay, specific blessings of honoring God's name. They are personal blessings of divine protection and care. Okay, psalms 91, verse 14 and 16.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

Because he holds fast to me in love, I'll deliver him. I'll protect him because he knows my name. Do you hear that? This is a promise you can claim today. You can stand on it. Read it out loud until you believe it and you can pray. He says because he holds fast to me in love, I'll deliver him. I'll protect him because he knows my name. Okay, he knows my name. When he calls to me, I'll answer him. I'll be with him in trouble, I'll rescue him and honor him. You see, that's why I told you I don't defend myself Never, because I know this promise. He said because you know the name, this is what he's going to do for you. Okay, there's going to be spiritual intimacy and growth. He says I'm going to answer him, I'll be with him in trouble, I'll rescue him and I'm going to honor him. God is going to honor you Just by simply knowing his name and knowing and revering his name. Amen, this is beautiful. Revering his name, amen, this is beautiful.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

I found out that I don't have to fight for myself. God promises to fight for me, to defend me, to defend my name, my reputation. You see, I found that because God says and he does a better job, by the way he does a better job, but he says because he knows my name. I want you to put that in your spirit. That's how powerful the name of God can be in your life when you begin to take it with the reverence that he has, because then you begin to unlock the power that is in it. You see, we talk in jesus name, but and without thinking, but if you really thought about that name, what it means, ask god to give you a revelation of that name and all the different names of god you begin to unlock power. You know, like my friend who cried out Jehovah Nissi, yahweh Nissi, the Lord, my victory, all of a sudden, whatever was attacking her in the vehicle, boom. Why? Because she knew the power of the name and it's available. And God said because you know the name, he says he's going to rescue you, he's going to deliver you, he's going to protect you. When you call on him, he's going to answer you. You're going to have answered prayers right when you're in trouble. He says he's going to be with you in trouble and he's going to rescue you out of that trouble and he's going to honor you. Did you see how many promises are there? Just because you know the name, because you honor the name of God, hallelujah, hallelujah.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

Listen to John, chapter 17, verse 26. It says I made known to them your name and I will continue to make it known that the love which you have loved me may be in them and I in them. Now listen to this. Jesus says this is his prayer. By the way, it's a powerful, one of my favorite passages in the New Testament, john 17. He says I have made known, I have made known to them your name.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

What did Jesus come to do here? He came to make known the name of God. It's not just about saving souls, saving you and forgiving your sin. That's part of the package Because God, he is your Savior. But he says I have made known your name. He came to reveal the name of God, the God who saves, the God who heals. He has a name he's Jehovah Rapha. Yahweh Rapha, your shepherd is going to guide you, rahi. He says I've made known your name because I've expressed who you are to them and I've demonstrated who you are to them, and they have tested and they have seen and touched and felt your goodness, because all that goodness is embodied and expressed through the name. Hallelujah, oh Shakara Mande. Dear Jesus, reveal your name More and more to everyone watching and everyone listening to this message. This is what Jesus, and because we know the name, we begin to experience peace and even provision.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

Philippians 4, 6 to 7 says do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your mind in Christ Jesus. Why? Because you know his name. You know that in him all things consist. Philippians 4.19,. And my God will supply every need of yours according to riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Because he knew the name and what the name can do.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

Identity and purpose. 1 Peter 2.9 and 10. He says but you are a chosen race, royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for whom, for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him, or you could say of his name of him, who called out of darkness into his marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people. Once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy, the power of the name. When we embrace the name of God, we embrace our identity. You see Identity and purpose. He says we are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. His possession why? Because we bear the name of God.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

Hallelujah, communal blessings, unity among brethren. In John 17, 11. He says Holy Father, keep them in your name which you have given me, that they may be one even as we are one. In the name we are kept together. He says keep them in your name. Isn't that interesting? He didn't say keep them in the church. He says keep them in the name which you have given me, so that they may see your goodness, that they may be one even as we are one. I was going ahead of myself here.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

Effectiveness, effective witness and kingdom impact. Matthew 5.16. In the same way, let your light shine before others so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Remember, when people give glory to God, they are giving glory to the name. Okay, when we bring glory to God, his name is exalted, his name is vindicated, his name is worshipped, he's revered. See, at Crusades. For many years, at Crusades, when people walked out of a wheelchair or some miraculous acts happened, guess what? Thousands upon thousands will begin to scream the name of Jesus, will begin to raise their hands and give glory to Jesus. Why? Because they see the act and now they give glory to the name, the name of Jesus, dear friend, it's all about the name, because the name is God. That's why Jesus said I have revealed your name to them, I have preached. That's why, when we preach, we preach the name. The name is the person. Okay, again, when I say the name, don't just think about just the name Jesus, or the name God or Yahweh. Think about the person who bears the name. Okay, jesus said I preached your name, I revealed your name and I preached it and I pray that they may be you. Keep them in your name. Okay, in John 17,. That's part of Jesus' prayer that they stay in the name. In other words, that they may stay grounded in God, in his holiness, in his majesty, in his beauty, that we may be one in God In who he is and what he does. Hallelujah.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

Societal transformation 2 Chronicles, 7.14. It says if my people, yeah, who are called by my name, humble themselves. Now I know in Uganda we use this scripture for our revival. It was the key scripture. But he says there's an if clause here. He says if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, are you called by the name of the Lord? Because God wants us not to just be by name, by just the label, but in how we live and walk and have our being, then we are called by his name because actually we live by the name, we live the reality of his name. It's not just about the label that we are Christians, but actually we live the Christian life. He says if. That's why it has an if clause, it's conditional.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

He says if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, oh, dear friend, being called by the name of the Lord also takes humility. There is a humility to it. There is you come again. We read at the beginning he says he will bless, he will come and be with those who are lowly the other word is humble those who are contrite, those who are repentant. That's what contrite means those who are repentant, those who are lowly, those who are humble. He says those who are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face, turn from their wicked ways. Then I'll hear from heaven, I'll forgive their sin and heal the land. You see, dear friend, we have the key to the transformation of nations because we are called by the name of the Lord, by the name of Yahweh. I am, who I am, is in us, with us, and his power is upon us and he's working through us. Amen.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

And he says if we humble ourselves, begin to pray, seek his face, turn from our wicked ways, in other words, you know, walk in our humility and allow the Holy Spirit to sanctify us in those areas where we have not been honoring God's name, and bring glory to God's name. He says he's going to hear all of us and the barriers to all these unanswered prayers are going to be removed and the barriers to all these unanswered prayers are going to be removed. He says he will hear from heaven and he's going to forgive and he's going to heal the land. So here I mean this is a different message altogether, but here it shows you that there is a key to answered prayer. And there is a key also it shows us what may hinder, you know, some prayers to be unanswered. Are we walking in humility? Are we honoring his name? Are we praying? Are we seeking his face? Are we turning from our wicked ways? Or we just want us to continue sinning and then God to bless us and we continue in our ways? No, that's a recipe for unanswered prayer. But he says if we turn from our wicked ways, we can begin to. You know, he says he's going to hear from heaven. So here there are some keys on how we can pray effectively Practical ways to honor God's name in our daily life, in our workplace.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

Colossians, chapter 3, verse 23, 24. 23, 24. Whatever you do, work heartily as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as a reward that you are serving the Lord In your marketplace. He says if you work as unto the Lord, you bring glory to his name. Especially if you're a believer, you're bringing glory. He says. Whatever you do, do it for the Lord and not for man, knowing that from the Lord you'll receive the inheritance as your reward. Dear friend, you're bringing glory to God. Another practical way Ephesians 5, 21,.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

Submitting one to another out of reverence for Christ. This is another one we can do in family or even in relationship in community. Submitting one to another in reverence to Christ, being able to be teachable and corrected and encouraged, and don't be an island, be vulnerable. That's another way we bring glory and honor to His name In Relationships and Interactions. Ephesians 4.29.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouth, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear it. In your relationships, in your interactions, let no corrupting talk come out of your mouth. And when you do, when you're building up others, you're bringing glory and honor to his name. And, dear friend, there are blessings that we highlighted at the beginning. He's going to fight for you, he's going to be with you in trouble, he's going to rescue you, he's going to deliver you and he's going to honor you in worship. Psalms 29, verse 2,. Are you in worship. Psalms 29, verse 2. I scribe to the Lord the glory due to his name. Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness. It says give God the glory that is due to his name, amen.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

So here are some practical applications for you this week. Going ahead, reflect again on your life. Consider how you can honor God's name in your actions, in your words and how you treat others, especially in moments of stress and difficulty. I know we are humans. We lose it sometimes. We get impatient right. Reflect on any area that you may need change.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

Second, take specific actions. Choose a tangible step this week to align your life with God's heart. Choose one. You may make a list, but choose one. Start one by one and be honest with God, but choose one. Start one by one and be honest with God. Whether it's offering forgiveness, speaking encouragement or acting out with integrity or in a challenging situation, or just being level-headed, wherever area that you feel like you may not be honoring God, just be honest. After all, he knows your heart, he knows your mind, he knows your thoughts before you think them. So just be honest. There's nothing you're hiding from God.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

Say God I need help. I can't do it on my own Holy Spirit, search me and know me and show me those areas where I'm not honoring or I'm falling short. And I'm telling you he's going to begin to show you those areas. And then you ask him Holy Spirit, spirit of power, spirit of might, give me the courage to follow through. Give me the courage. And then, number three, commit to honor. As you commit to honoring God's name, remain open to experiencing the personal and communal blessings that he promised as a result of walking in alignment with his will. So again, I have a prayer here that I want you to pray with me as we respond. You know I put this here so that you and I'll make it available online so that you can take it as your starting point if you need it.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

Say Heavenly Father, I come before you with a heart that desires to honor your name. Forgive me for the times I have failed to reflect your holiness in my words, actions and thoughts. I ask for your grace to live in reverence to you each day in all that I do. Help me, holy Spirit, to honor the name of the Lord in my workplace, in my community, in my family. Guide me to reflect you, your love and your truth in every conversation, every decision and every opportunity you place before me. Let my life be a testimony of your goodness and holiness. Transform me from the inside out so that I may live as your ambassador. So that I may live as your ambassador bringing glory to your name. I invite your peace, your provision and purpose to overflow in my life as I walk in obedience to you. Thank you for the blessings that come from honoring your name. May my life be a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable in your sight, in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

Dear friend, we are on a journey to experience God's best. In the next episode we are going to talk about the transformative power of reverence, the redemption path, reclaiming God's name in our lives. I pray that those blessings just seeing what God promises as we conclude this, just a quick recap ripple effects of honoring God's name. When we live in reverence to God's name, it creates that ripple effect, transforming our lives from the inside out, our communities, our families, and it releases all the blessings that God lists. Because you know his name, you honor his name. He says I'm going to fight for you, I'm going to defend you, I'm going to deliver you In trouble, I'm going to be there, I'm going to rescue you and I'm going to honor you.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

Dear friend, you don't have a relationship with Jesus. You've been listening and watching this message. I have good news Jesus loves you. God loves you and he sent his son Jesus to die on the cross for you, for your sins, for my sins. All you have to do is receive the free gift that he gives through his son Jesus. Would you pray this prayer with me?

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

Say God, I receive the gift of salvation that you give me through your son Jesus. I confess that I have fallen short of your glory, but I come home to you, jesus. I confess that you are the son of God and I believe in my heart that God raised you from the dead. Come into my life, cleanse me from my sin, fill me with your Holy Spirit that I may live a life that is worthy of your name, of your death, your crucifixion, your burial, your resurrection and your ascension. Until you, you come back. Thank you, jesus, for saving me. I confess today that I'm yours.

Andrew Nkoyoyo:

I'm a Christian, dear friend, you have said that prayer. Jesus has come into your heart. You're what the Bible calls a Christian.
